Black Dogs and Songbirds is Bully Hay’s debut album, produced, recorded and mixed by Canadian rock icon Jeff Martin (The Tea Party). Built on contrast, light and shade, peaks and lulls, the record explores the emotional whiplash of living between extremes. The title became a metaphor for opposing forces: when the Black Dogs take hold, the world feels crushing and impossible; when the Songbirds rise, hope returns and everything feels within reach.
